• Antalet tankar minskar efterhand som din inre del rensar bort allt fler av de tankar den anser onödiga.

Vivi: OK, det låter ju bra. Men menar du att det räcker att jag observerar att jag tänker när jag tänker?

Peter: Ja, för att komma in i hypnos räcker det.

Då tänker du kvantitativt sett mindre samtidigt som kvaliteten på de tankar som blir kvar ökar. När du tömt hjärnan tillräckligt på onödiga tankar börjar den även ta pauser från tankarna. Om din hjärna tänker hela tiden producerar den mest onödiga tankar. Genom att göra det tröttar den ut sig själv och kvaliteten på tankarna blir allt sämre. När den får chansen att vila ut genom att tömma sig på onödiga tankar utvecklar den tankar med allt större kvalitet och precision.

Vivi: Men leder verkligen mindre tänkande alltid till att kvaliteten på tänkandet ökar?

Peer: Nej, inte nödvändigtvis. Men det gör det när det är resultatet av att du i tillräckligt hög grad är observatör.
